How Recipe & Batch Costing works

Set up materials and prices, publish a versioned recipe, create a scaled plan, resolve shortages and record actual production.

Which cost should I use?

Replacement cost estimates the next batch; moving-average inventory cost values actual consumption. Planned and completed batches keep their own snapshots.

Corrections and history

Void entries create forward or exact reversal records. Historical recipes and completed batches are never silently rewritten.

What this tool does not do

It is not accounting, food safety, regulatory, sales-order, warehouse or procurement software.
